Founder and Investment Fitness Club Coach
With over 30 years of experience in the investment world, my two biggest teachers have been Mr. Trial and Mr. Error. My mission is to share with you the knowledge and tools to make sure that you don’t repeat my mistakes!
In terms of my professional career, I started as a blue button on the physical floor of the London stock exchange in 1982-so that really dates me!
Then I went on to become a private client stockbroker with Schaverien & Co. and later with Insinger Townsley. In 2001, I was headhunted by Raymond James to become one of their first branch principals here in the UK. It was then that I transitioned from being a private client stockbroker to a discretionary investment manager proceeding to grow my branch’s assets under management from £15 million in 2001 to just under £90m by end 2013.
The investment fitness club represents both the distillation and evolution of everything I have learnt in my investing career over the last 30 years. As for my personal life, I’m a proud Dad of six kids and grandfather to a further three at last count. So I hope I’m now qualified to dish out grandfatherly wisdom!
In terms of my hobbies, I qualified as a Rabbi many years ago although don’t currently practice. I’m very very much involved in the adult education field and in the last couple of years started an educational program called Wealth Rabbi which is about bringing truth and values to the world of wealth. As the Wealth Rabbi, I‘ve lectured and led workshops round the world to both Jewish and non-Jewish audiences in such diverse places as London, Miami, San Diego and Singapore.
MCSI, Business Admin Manager
I have over 40 years of business administration and secretarial experience behind me having worked in both the private and public sector supporting senior management.
Since joining the business, I have studied for and passed the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment examinations IAQ (Investment Administration Qualification) and Diploma in Regulation & Compliance.
I have three children and enjoy a keen interest in performing arts, particularly dance.
Sales an Marketing Assistant
I moved from Romania to the UK in 2014. Although I studied public administration at one of the leading universities in Romania, my career path took me into the banking industry. I worked as a Relationship Manager for Credit Europe Bank Romania, Unicredit Tiriac Bank Romania and Raiffeisen Bank Romania.
This is a role I particularly enjoyed because as a “people person’’ interacting and helping clients is something that really interests and fulfills me. I’m looking forward to applying my experience and skills to my work here at Best Interests Consultants and learning more about the UK investment management field.
Outside work, my hobbies are reading French classics, travel and snowboarding.
